Employees at Sofo Foods of Ohio recently celebrated the annual Border Battle football game of Ohio State against University of Michigan. In honor of the annual event employees get to wear their team apparel and have a tailgate party. In addition to the festivities raffle tickets are sold for a chance to win some great team apparel and gear. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Cherry Street Mission in downtown Toledo.

Helping Local Charities During Holidays!

For the past several years Sofo Foods of Ohio has assembled food baskets during the holidays. These baskets are then distributed to local charities who then deliver them to families in need of assistance. This effort is the direct result of contributions made by employees who donate $5 on a sales meeting day when anyone interested in wearing jeans may do so through this contribution. This year a record $3800 was collected which resulted in the assemblage of an amazing 128 baskets! Thank you everyone, you should be very proud!! The following organizations benefited from the generosity of our employees :

Cross Point Community Church
Open Door Ministries
St. Martin DePorres
Harbor House
Crossroad Church
St Vincent DePaul
St. Joseph’s Church
Holiness Temple of God

Special thanks to Shawn Gross, Tana Mugler, Shelia Smeltzer, Patti Stainbrook and Cameron Klaege for helping assemble the baskets.
